Training

For YEARS I have wanted to do the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer in NYC! What better time than now??? I have been in training since the fall and working on my fundraising too. It is going really well and I am starting to really build on my distance. I am so amazed at what I can do! This is a wonderful journey I look forward to sharing!

HOW?

Huh…this isn’t where I thought I would be. I was going to be a UPS driver or an architect…not a, GASP, stay at home, PTA President, soccer mom with a husband, 3 kids, a dog, 2 cats, a toad and the picket fence.

I am turning 39 in a few weeks…how is that even remotely possible? HOW…no really, how….I want someone to explain it to me. All I did was blink and here I am, sitting at my kitchen table (cause the kids and animals have claimed the rest of the house) typing on my pink laptop surrounded by piles of PTA paperwork, Shop Rite sales circulars and 3 brightly colored post-it pads with a myriad of to dos to be checked off when I get “round tuit”.

Sitting waiting for the sun to come out from behind the persistent spring and now summer rain clouds! Amazing that the big excitement for the day is the appearance of the SUN! How many times can one person check the weather channel anyway – not like its EVER right, LOL! Oh well, I guess we all hold on to the hope that the sun will come shining thru, it’s up there – the challenge is remembering that when it’s been raining for a month.

Sun or no sun…life marches on QUICKLY! Guess it’s time to stop waiting for my sun fix and get on with it or BLINK I will be 49!
